Im an English guy, living in the far south west of the uk, I used to live in Sao Paulo, Brazil, well, for three years anyway, with my beautiful Brazilian fiancee, sadly we parted after three years, so broken hearted, I had to return to the uk,
but I still really love Brazil, and would love to have some Brazilian friends, even if its only penfriends,
I don't speak much Portuguese,
but
muito obrigado amiga's e amigo's

Bom dia, Dave.
I think the word "amigos" is a collective form of address, so that if you are talking to both men and women, you don't need " amigas"
My Portuguese is quite good.
I know it's a bit of a trek, but there is a huge Brazilian community in London, and they have lots of events. I've been to samba festivals at the Royal Albert Hall, and it's been...

I know it's a bit of a trek, but there is a huge Brazilian community in London, and they have lots of events. I've been to samba festivals at the Royal Albert Hall, and it's been almost entirely filled with Brazilians. And ... they are SO friendly.
Try getting along to a few of those.
E ... boa sorte.

ps. The highlight (for me) of the last samba festival I went to was the drum band. The centre of the Albert Hall was filled with just drummers ... conducted by whistles. The noise was absolutely awesome. Everyone was on their feet, dancing in their seats. I loved it.
They also had several of the big Brazilian music stars, like (and excuse my spellings here) Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, and a stunning singer who was so good that I went out the next day to track down her CDs ... Virginia Rodrigues. She was mind blowing!
