Rather than being our lynchpin Rooney has already shown he is unable to take pressure. To swear at the ref in an unimportant game how can he control himself when the real games come along. Seeing his antics he will be the target for any opposition. The same happened last time when Ronaldo got him sent off.

Maybe he should take an alcoholic drink before the game.

do we really need to risk him in the opening group games? i feel we have enough talent over there to still finish top of the group without him.it would be a disaster if he sees red early doors.

It's our own English media that highlights Rooney and go as far as asking the American team if they will target him!! He plays every away game trying to be wound up by opponents in our premier league and gets through it, i think he will be ok this time, a little wiser and older.

The refs have apparently been taught 20 words and phrases to listen out for....all English Do they not swear in other languages then? This is blatent discrimination, and places opposition teams at an advantage

just media frenzy, already looking for someone to blame for when we exit the world cup. a few months back it was terry, then a couple of weeks back it waqs capelo with inter. wonder who is next on their target list.
