I'm not talking Abraham sacrificing his first born. But if you were to make a pact with the devil what would you be prepared to sacrifice?

but bigfoot I would need my soul to celebrate :-( steve did you really? Was it amazing. I can only imagine, its strange they have the final on a Sunday and the runners up game the night before. All them people hungover on the Monday
Snap Steve.
I do,nt think I would feel that sense of euphoria again.
I saw them win in 1966 as well. I watched it with my Dad and found it really exciting and I don't like football. I was 19!
Hello DG. I can't imagine feeling the same again. Too commercialised these days anyway. All the fuss just puts me off!!
theres still hope loftie
Hi Lottie,trust you,re well.
The atmosphere at the stadium,on the day of the final,is something,I do,nt think I,ll
ever see again !
4getmenot, it was fantastic even now when ever the World Cup comes round and they play that "they think it's all over" clip It still sends shivers down my spine I watched it in the local miners welfare and people living 200yds away heard the roar when the final whistle went, and like bigfoot I too would sell all your souls to experience it again
It's only a football competition, for heaven's sake.

It's not as if it's the Olympic Games.
As the great Bill Shankly said about football it's not a matter of life and death it's more serious then that, any way JJ what are these olympic things you mentioned?
LOL Paddy

The football World Cup falls in the same year as The Winter Olympics.

So the football is overshadowed.

And this year, as far as I can gather, we've had a few dull draws, an own goal by Denmark, a goalie muff by England ...

... so ... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
well JJ, I suppose it would be a dull old world if we all agreed on the same things

Joachim Löw is German coach
I'd sacrifice everybody in Scotland and Wales...After the victory parade of course ;-)
