Was anyone else feeling a little let down by this years world cup? Rubbish games, non stop cheating etc...Well the pro's were the skycam which I personally have never seen before and the hope that we will start relying on new technology over the referees blind decisions! But will this only be at the goalposts or will they now rely on footage for all decisions? Roll on Brazil 2014!

Awful World Cup. Where do I start?
England failed.
Vuvuzellas (not sure if that's the right spelling but who cares about the one thing that ruined the atmosphere)
Fouls (specially in the final)
The Ball
That will do.
most overhyped and overated finals I've seen. Quality of football was dire, with the exeception of Germany and Argentina.

The pundits and papers have been going ape over Spain. To be honest they pass the ball well, to the point of boring! four 1-0 wins in succession - 8 goals scored in 7 games - come on! Thats got to be the lowest goal count ever by a winning World Cup winning side. Thats with 2 of the worlds best strikers in the team.

The only plus side in the competition was the standard of the officials, who on the whole were excellent. The only exception being the foul throw which seemed to be totally ignored throughout the tournament.

Finally we need to get back to 24 teams in this competition rather than 32 - the competitions too long.

SICK TO DEATH OF PEOPLE SLATING HOWARD WEBB!!
ANY OTHER REF WE WOULD HAVE HAD AN ABANDONED GAME ON OUR HANDS!!
THE DUTCH WERE A TOTAL DISGRACE AND MADE THIS THE WORST WORLD CUP FINAL EVER!!
you talking through a vuvuzela, bernie?
What is it with the new ball? I've never seen so many shots go 30 feet over the goal, it seemed to take off as soon as it was hit.
If all the teams had practised with the ball for the previous 6 months (like the Germans) we might have had a better tournament!

jno -I was taking a drink when I read your post -just about choked lol !!!
On a serious note I think they were as bad as each other and the semi final was way more excting and was worthy of being the final.
The Spaniards took every oppo on offer to trip over a blade of grass -the gamesmanship in the final was appalling.Little wonder the Dutch ended up getting frustrated and became more obvious with their fouls.
maybe i´m alone then, cuz i thoroughly enjoyed it.
why is it that the powers that be have to allow teams to keep changing things ie the ball the balls boots but most of all why do they keep changing the rules do they realy think it improves the game i think the last 4 weeks proves that it does not
The teams don't change anything OK boots but not the ball not the rules.

What rule changed in the last 4 weeks.

FIFA changed the ball and sanction rule changes.
At least now I know why Darren Bent wasnt chosen, he wasnt bad enough
breorm - every world cup a new ball is introduced - the only problem this time is that only a couple of teams could play with it.

Mind you, we have been watching the best players in the world - you wouldnt have thought so!
