Joey Barton - nice one!

How many of us non-footy-fans had heard of Joey Barton before this moustache stunt? I hadn't. He maybe didn't do it for national publicity or recognition - but a lot more people know his name now. He looked like a cross between a Chuckle Brother, a guy from the 118 ad, and Bernie Flint (aah, memories...) but at least we now know his name.

Oh. Well, I did say I know very little about football. Apart from I know who David Beckham is, obviously, and I fancy David James the goalkeeper. Oh, and that England did not do very well in the World Cup this year :-(

Don't think I'll bother now daffy - I don't like the sound of the bloke one bit... I do remember there being some incident about a footballer being violent a while back. Maybe I should have said he looks more like Hitler than a comedy character.

One past stunt: He was in a McDonalds somewhere in the east end of London and they server him his chips a bit overdone. He gave a few members of staff a slap or two.
He's a role model of sorts too. His nephew,following his example that violence works, stabbed to death a young chap.
