whats he worth and who will want him? i have followed football for 65 years and might be going ga ga, but i think he will be a spent force within 2 years max,as a scotsman my idea of man united footballers are ryan giggs and paul scholes who to me give100%, where as if things are not going well rooney goes absent from the game.

he says he's not happy with the way ManU are going - that sounds reasonable enough; who is?

Just to add my bit here,I am a Liverpool supporter, with the usual genuine and returned by Man u supporters, dislike of each others teams. However,I can still respect loyal team players and enjoy their football. David Beckham is the ultimate example. Still really like him. However...that egotistical lump that is Rooney, who believes he is above any judgement of his behaviour on or off the pitch, especially his tantrum at the world cup, further seedy revelations and the abandonment of a club's decision to help him!!..Let him loose...Rooney isnt interested in a team only himself and too many people know that now!.
He has an ongoing Ankle injury problem which could have a long term impact on his future career. This will be taken into account if he gets tranferred elsewhere.
I suppose he will be out of football now until January, and presumably still getting his grotesque wages.
Hopefully he will go abroad - as has been said, he is now past his sell by date and is no longer the "super star" he thinks he is
Manchester United will be glad to be shot of him.
