Anybody, like me, miss the time when the programme was a review of the year's sport with the SPOTY bit tagged on at the end? This year, more than ever, it was about the 'personality' rather than the sport. I think that's a shame.

Haven't wartched it for years as it became so boring
Once they started roving around the audience interviewing uncomfortable, inarticulate 'sportsters' was enough for me.
Same for me,jack SeaJayPea's right what he says.
yes I used to like the review of the sporting year, I suppose with the uk doing badly in most things they have wanted to gloss over most of 2010 ;)
I agree CJP.It was much better,when they reviewed each sport in turn.
Also,I believe,there were no chosen contenders for the award.
yes I do, you are spot on, it seems that the program is now a vehicle for the spoty rather than a review of the sport. In Fact It was once called "sports review of the year" now it's "SP10" so it would seem that is the intention rather than an evolution to this state of affairs.
