the young girl, shes so pretty and attractive, yet she doesnt like the way she looks! - craaaaazy!

Watching it now. I saw one of the chaps on tube, the guy who said in the beginning that someone thought he was wearing a mask and tried to take it off. People were staring all over the place, I did a double take myself and looked more than once. I felt sorry for him at the time and I thought he was a patient coming to the hospital.

its not surprising they drew attention.

and surely she could see she was really pretty and attractive when she looked in the mirror?
and if she honestly did think she was 'ugly', would she really take so much time and effort on herself each day with her hair and makeup?

hi china, we look dont we when we see something a little 'different' but we dont mean it in a bad way. i think its just a natural curiosity.

Body dysmorphic disorder is a bit different to just being vain I think, it's usally marking something deeply psychological in its most severe state and I think docs have to be very careful when offering surgery to patients with this, particularly in the private sector. I thought the consultant she saw was very good in his advice.

Adam is the chap I saw. Interesting chap. I was thinking at the time that he was brave walking around during rush hour but listening to him speak I've changed my mind, I thought he might think it's not brave to go about your life just because you look different and don't conform. Interesting chap.

and yes i agree, the consultant did give her good advice, and im glad she saw sense in the end.
ok, she was a little on the plump side, but she still looked very lovely with it didnt she.

I was channel-surfing and watched for about three minutes.

I was also taken with how pretty the young lady is, with gorgeous skin - and i did wonder why she wore low-cut tops if she felt attention to he cleavage was unwelcome.
