FIFA 2010 World Cup - Stadiums and Hotels

As the FIFA 2010 World Cup draws closer, many football fans will be starting their preparations for the long journey to South Africa that is ahead of them. There will be laughter, tears, anger, joy and desperation as the groups and games play out – but none of this will happen without a match ticket or suitable accommodation.

With thousands of football fans from across the globe travelling to South Africa to see the FIFA World Cup, finding a hotel that doesn’t overcharge or isn’t fully-booked can be difficult. Local business people will attempt to capitalise on the huge boom in football fans looking to find hotels, so it may be inevitable that you have to spend a little extra on your accommodation next summer.

Bloemfontein – Vodacom Park Stadium

Vodacom Park Stadium, located in the city of Bloemfontein, is a 45,000 capacity arena that will host a number of games in the upcoming FIFA 2010 World Cup.

Vodacom Park Stadium will host five first-round ties and one second-round match. The second round match at Vodacom Park will be between the winners of Group D and runners-up of Group C, so if England qualify in second place from their group then they will play this fixture. The second-round tie at Vodacom Park Stadium will take place on June 27th 2010 at 16:00.

The first FIFA 2010 World Cup game to be played here will be Japan v. Cameroon on June 14th.

Make sure you shop around before you book your hotel room. Hoteliers are likely to raise their prices tenfold, so have a thorough search to ensure you get the best value for your accommodation.
