Following on from my previous question, http://www.theanswerb...l/Question999183.html
I am now trying to apply for my visa.

The official site looks to be in.vfsglobal.co.uk but I get an HTTP 500 Internal Server Error whenever I try to connect. Can anyone confirm that the website above is the correct one or is there something missing from the address?

it seems a bit unlikely that an official embassy website would be on a .co.uk domain
Did you go through the link from the High Commission of India? It works for me.

Seems to be working now however I ty to access it so must have been having a funny few minutes or a glitch on our IT system. Thanks for the replies.
Whilst I cannot answer why the link has gone down, i've had a number of visa from the Birmingham office. They (VFS) are the official agent for the production of indian Visas. It is quite easy to apply via internet (but be extra carefull in filling the form in EXACTLY) They have offices in London/Birmingham/Scotland.At these offices you can hand the completed form in by hand and you have to wait for 3/4 days and then you can collect. Or some Indian Travel agents offer to sort them out and put a £10.00 extra charge on the cost of the visa and deliver and re-collect them for you.If you dont or cannot fill the form in via internet you can fill them in , handwritten but be aware that the wait in these offices can be some time as they check every full stop/comma/every entry that you have made.
