Has anyone any idea how to reduce the width of a laptop screen.

I'm getting fed up of moving side to side and up and down to get the full picture. I had a virus on my laptop last week and the whole screen went very large, that problem is mostly cured but I am still bugged by this screen. Any suggestions please?

I've still got the homepage for mywebsearch (whereas I usually have google homepage) can't get rid of it. I think it is to do with that. I'm trying to avoid an expensive visit from our local PC engineeer.
This is a known problem if your screen resolution is set too low.
Right-click on your desktop. Click on 'Properties' and then select the 'Settings' tab. Move the 'Screen resolution' slider to the right (possibly all of the way; if you don't like the result you can easily change it). Click 'Apply' and 'OK'.

Hi thanks for the suggestions, not having much luck. I have Windows vistar (with a spanner on the top right of the screen.) I tried the screen resolution this afternoon it helped somewhat but not enough, low is too small but it then jumps to the middle mark which is what I'm on now. I'll have to try again tomorrow. Not sure what the top menu is scotman but thanks for the tip I'll try anything if I know what I'm looking at. I will have to let you know how it goes tomorrow evening.
