Hotmail account.Uploading photographs and using word?????

I have an hotmail account, which I want to upload my picture files to. Can I only upload 1 picture at a time or can I upload full files? if so, any ideas how I do it?

I also notice that you can use word and excel through hotmail, Is that only if you have these already on your p.c.? Or can I create a cv on word and email it along with my covering letter without having word already on my pc?

Any help would be much appreciated.
