Just checking my Spam folder in BT Yahoo; I found an email listed from a name (individual, foreign) that I didn't recognise. Remembering advice given in the past, I deleted it without opening it so I imagine it has gone for ever. Then, of course, I began to wonder..... could it have been important, might it have been something to do with son and family who live in USA where there are lots of foreign names...you know the sort of thing you worry about if you're a mother?! Almost certainly it wasn't. But is there any way of getting it back, and if so would it be a very bad idea to do so? I have Norton Security installed, if that makes any difference.
Thanks.

Check the trash folder, if they are in there you can restore them, if not then they've gone for good.

As for would it be a good idea to open, No idea, Nobody on here knows if they are a genuine mail from a unknown person or a spam either.

Thanks Chuck, I'd checked the trash folder, but nothing there; there never is, when I delete from Spam.
The Spamchecker does seem to be a bit inconsistent, that's why I wondered; several times it's isolated messages from sources that have been let through previously, so I don't know what criteria are used. Never mind, I'll just have to hope it wasn't important.
