When I first got the computer I could put a couple of open windows together - they'd just sort of snap together and I could easily navigate between windows.

Now I can't seem to do that - any ideas as to how to get it back?

Ta for that, I'll check it out when I have more time - looks like it'll help
If you simply type the word snap into the search box on the Win7 start menu, the first result will be will be a control panel link named "Turn off/on automatic window arrangement". If you click this it will take you to a control panel screen.

Towards the bottom middle of this screen under the heading "Make it easier to manage windows" ensure that there is no tick in the box next to the option "Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen".

I had this same problem and for some reason this was ticked although I had used Aero Snap just days before.
