RAM question again For Funks Sake!!!!!

As some of you know, I am upgrading my Desktop PC (DELL Insipron 530) so that I can game onit.

I have recently bought 2 x 1 GB sticks of DDR2 RAM 667MHz, from maplin.

I have inserted the RAM into my PC (correctly i might add) when booting up my computer took forever to get past the windows loading bar, after which it took me to the boot afew times, then my PC decided to run CHKDISK...

WDF is going on???
