I have just purchased a wireless dongle for my desktop PC as the internal wireless connection was getting a very poor signal.
My modem is secured with a password and is set to connect automatically but when I start up my computer the dongle is also detecting next doors password secured modem, meaning I have to click on my connection and enter my password every time I want to connect to the Internet which is more of a nuisance than anything else..
Is there anyway I can block next doors connection so it does not come up as an available network?

No...

But if you change the channel on your router you can probably solve the problem (it probably would have solved your initial issue that caused you to buy a USB dongle too)
