Can't initialize mapi.log

This pops up every so often after i had a virus on my computer. I started in safe mode by pressing f8 key and used system restore to get rid of the virus, but this keeps coming up. Is there a simple way of getting rid of it? Everything seems to be working OK although some photos i had have gone. Luckily i had put them on a disc before the virus. Any help from out there would be appreciated.

Are you using MAPI mail client or Exchange server/Outlook mail?
Are you using Symantec software/AV?
