Is it hard to set up a web site?

I would like to set one up but I am not sure how to, any help would be appreciated

A 2 or 3 page web site is not that difficult, but if you want to design something like Amazon or ebay it may be a little more difficult.

Plenty of books on Amazon with titles like "building a web site for dummies" and that sort of thing.
