There are times when I open up Windows Live Messenger that I'm told I have an email in my in-box, but I don't know how to find or read it. I can access the menu bar and in File/Go To sub menu and activate emails...then'm lost; any help? Ta Muchly.

just do as you say but go to> inbox rather than activate emails or just click on inbox at opposite end of where you see file etc.
