When I click on to Google or anything find that the "box"is too far over to the left of the screen and I cannot access the "back"button or,in some cases, the "sign out"button.
How can I cure this please

Turn you monitor onto it's right side and slap it hard.
..alternatively, you could just put your mouse pointer on the title bar, hold down the left mouse button and drag it to wherever you want it.
Try this:
Click Page tab [top right, between Printer icon and Safety].
On drop-down menu, click Zoom
Click Zoom Out or select a zoom value from the list on the drop-down menu.

No guarantees, since I don't know what caused the problem!
Holding 'Ctrl' down whilst scrolling the mouse wheel may alter the screen view sufficiently for you to access the page extremities. Hope this helps.
