spam emails

Hi ALL, god I hope someone can help :-( it looks like someone or something has hijacked my email address and is sending spam emails to all my contacts, hotmail put a stop on my account because of this and I have scanned my computer with malware bytes, superantispyware and comodo internet security, a couple of trojans and adware tracking cookies were found yesterday when I scanned my computer, I then recativated my email account but it has started up again,I know this because I have my email address in my contacts, any thoughts sugestions or help would be much welcome, thanks in advance

You could change your password- or that may be too late.
Or change your email address and let all your contacts know

one tip is not to keep anyone in your online 'address book', just jot them down or use the 'reply' feature to their last email ... not handy i know x

hi all just thought i would let you know i have just run hijack this and had the scan analysed nothing :-(

hi methyl, thanks for the reply, i have changed my password again since reactivating and touch wood fine so far so thanks for the advice, have also checked my sent box and nothing relating to the bad mail is in there, could you explain how my contacts think it was me that sent it as my email addy would be in the "from" box when they received it. thanks again for the reply
