google bookmarks have disappeared
My google toolbar bookmarks have disappeared- i have looked in favourites folders and in my google account - but they are not there
Is this just a temprory glitch? , or caused by an update perhaps? -or is there some way of getting them back? -i have googled but it all seems vague and a dead end- i fear they have gone awol for good

Bookmarks are nothing to do with the Google Toolbar .. that is an add-on.
Bookmarks are part of Firefox browser.
In Firefox .. R Click on Menu Bar area (or blank space above tabs) select Customise. Look in the panel for a Bookmarks icon .. and if there, drag to the menu bar somewhere (I always park it at far LH side) Close up and see if it operates the Bookmarks side-bar ok?
If Bookmarks are missing altogether, it needs another fix. They are backed up in the program files, so should not be lost.
Google Toolbar has it's own set of icons .. they are selected in the options drop-down.
