Annoying 'Found New Hardware' bubbles.

I have uploaded some photos from my Nokia C5-03 to my computer.

Ever since I am experiencing 2 separate bubbles flashing on one after the other, one which says:

Found New Hardware
Nokia Windows Portable device Driver.

and then the other which says:

Found New Hardware
Nokia C5-03

How can I get rid of these please? They won't go away even when I click on the top R/H X.

My operating system is XP.

Do they come back after re-starting your computer?

Ahhhh .. Mr Firefox .. : )

Look in Device Manager .. show hidden devices checked ..
to see what that says about the device first.
Agree to any XP driver install if it comes up with the driver wizard. Don't keep closing it or it will probably bugger up the system eventually (or block other USB devices working)

Chuck, I started my computer this morning and they seem to have gone away.

Not being conversant in computer terminology, I was unsure whether to put 'upload' or 'download' I did at first put download but then changed it because I thought some expert would say I got it wrong.

AlBags, It looks as if the problem has now righted itself, but for future reference where does one find the Device Manager please?

All these terms may seem straightforward to you experts but to those who are not so skilled, they are not so clear, but then this is the whole purpose of this site, that being where you experts are good enough to spend your time helping out the ordinary guy to get out of their computer difficulties.

And it is a good job you are prepared to do so, once again thank you.

Rule one for any and every unexplained thing that may happen on any computer is restart the computer, 99% of "problems" are cured this way, although we are all happy to help I'd suggest restarting your computer for any issue you have before posting a question about it.

The device manager is found in control panel > (performance and Maintenance >) system click on the hardware tab and then the device manager button

(the performance and Maintenance part may, or may not be there, depending on how you have the control panel view set)

The difference between upload and download is one that a lot of people get wrong, basically if you are using your computer to receive anything from somewhere else you are downloading, if you are sending anything from your computer to somewhere else you are uploading

Incidentally at the time I did switch off and restart my computer, but they still appeared.

It was only when I switched off yesterday, and then switched on today, that they failed to appear.
