It wonderful how no matter how much a joke goes on or the leading up to but in most cases the punch line is an everday word which in that contex tis funny .Heard quite a funny joke the other day .Punchline frame

What I was trying to say was everyday words when taken out of context are funny but when said in the usual context would not even be noticed .

I'm not sure about words, but phrases, out of context of the joke, are mundane, but as punch lines they are hilarious -

"Well it would, the dog didn't want to go either."

"OK OK, I'll wash up."

"They're in the truck, and one of them is in the cab tooting the horn."

"He's such a liar, he hasn't done any of those things!"
