I recall a few years ago people referring to the frag count - this meant the amount of kills in a gaming session. You dont hear it these days but what game/s popularised it?

makes sense. I only ever played it in single player mode on the PS1.

I still have Doom 3 for the PC but never really got online with it.
FPS's have never interested me too much over the years - until now when I've finally got around to giving Half-Life 2 a good go.
FPS is my fave genre. Currently finishing off Resistance 3 on PS3.

Has no one here had the pleasure of playing Doom 1 & 2 and Quake on a LAN setup with five PC's? I used to be the king of the first person shooter back then, you young uns have it easy these days, I used to rocket jump to work in the mornings. In lava.
