I have a Dell Desktop, and I downloaded Drive Max,its a Driver Download to update your Drivers on your computer.
I downloaded a driver for my mouse on the desktop, and now the curser to sign me on the screen is stuck and will not move.
I have done an inproper shutdown to see if I can get the curser to move without any success.
Does anyone on answerbank no how to help me please.
Thankyou for any help.

Why do people do that? If you don't have a problem, then you don't need to update your drivers, and if you do have a problem, then go to the manufacturer's web site and download the drivers from there.
PS2 or USB mouse?
You can use the tab key and the enter key to log on to you machine - you don't need the mouse. Probably after you have logged on, the Windows will inform you that it's installing the mouse driver.

For Doddsredoubt:
Try booting your computer into Safe Mode. (Press F8 during the boot-up phase). That will load the default mouse driver so, with a bit of luck, you should be able to get it started.
Then run System Restore (from Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools) to take the registry back to a date before you downloaded Drive Max.
For DaisyNonna:
Pressing 'tab' advances the cursor to the next field. For instance if you've got a 'username' and 'password' field to fill in on your screen, pressing 'tab' after you've typed your username moves the cursor directly to the password field. When typing a Word document you can set tabs so that you can keep text lined up vertically:
