text message forwarding

Is there a way to auto forward text messages to another phone number or better still an email address? All I can find are "apps" to do this but the phone receiving the text messages isn't a smart phone.

Mine does - I open the text then (at the bottom of the screen where it says Back) I get an Options message, press that and you get Delete etc., but one of the options is to Forward. You then pop in the new number, and off it goes.

I think camioneur means something like call divert but with text messages.

Yes ummmm you're right but as it's not currently possible to "divert" an sms I used the term "auto forward" instead. There are "apps" that will do this but they are of course only for smart phones

I dont know the answer but I would suggest you try googling your question with details of your phone and also give make and model of your phone on this site, im sure it would help others to help you.

RATTER15 thanks for your suggestion but why do you presume that I haven't already spent hours on Google doing exactly that? As far as the make and model are concerned, this wouldn't help as it's not a Smart Phone. I thought [obviously wrongly] that this was a site where one could post a question and reasonable expect an answer [should anyone know the answer that is] If this isn't the case, I see no point in the site. I've lost count of the times I've seen "try Google" or similar posted as an answer but surely this defeats the whole point of the site.
