how can i restore my laptop?

hello, i have a dell inspiron mini, and it is running windows xp, i have had this laptop for a number of year and it has got slower and slower, manly because of the the music and photo i have sorted on it, i have now transfed them to a usb, i want to reset my laptop, deleting everything so i can start a fresh, the laptop never came with a boot disc as it has no drives......... so now do i do this ?

Storing lots of music and photos on your laptop will not slow it down. Files like that just sit there on the disk and have no influence on performance one way or the other.

Did the computer come with a hidden recovery partition?

Many laptops come with an image of Windows stored on a hidden recovery partition. By selecting this partition during computer boot up you can use it to reinstall Windows.
