Network address blocked

Mightymouse and I share the same Home Network and have for some years. One of the forums visited regularly for a couple of years now is the delightful Hummingbird forum on Network54.
Out of the blue, at the end of last week, we got a message that 'the site owner has blocked our network address'. Other forums on Network 54 are fine. I have contacted the site owner and he says he has not blocked it, but am I using a proxy server via Russia, perhaps? We are not using a proxy server at all.
I have checked the McAfee, Google Chrome, Firefox, IE8 (my computer) and IE9 (on his computer) settings, and the site is not blocked. The caches and histories have all been cleared and the McAfee Virtual Technician found nothing untoward. Any thoughts as to how I might proceed please?

Did you tell the site owner you're using a Russian proxy? because it will be their address blocked, not yours.
Firstly, go here: http://www.whatismyip.org/. Make a note of your IP address and then look it up here: http://centralops.net/co/DomainDossier.aspx

Make sure that it's what you think it should be, i.e. the correct ISP, country etc.

No, but thank you CF, he asked unprompted.
MarkRae, I tried the first link, but I'll have a go with the second, thank you.
Question Author
Just tried the second link MarkRae and nothing in it suggests the IP address is routing in or out anywhere other than the UK via TalkTalk.
Just wonder if both computers have somehow got the same IP address which might cause a problem.
Both PCs will absolutely have the same IP address as far as the outside world is concerned.

What you need to do now is drop a line to Talk Talk and ask them what the problem is.
Question Author
Thanks MarkRae, will give it a go. Heading for the three-metre board now!

Thanks for your input methyl. The address I'm trying to access through a tried and tested (18 months plus) shortcut is http://www.network54.com/forum/439743/
There's never been any other typing of addresses involved once the connection was established. Have since though tried to access directly via IE8; IE9; Google; Google Chrome and Firefox, all with the same blocked access. I do hope it's nothing to do with the raft of Windows updates that occurred last week. If so, I shall start tearing my hair out; both of them!
Can you copy and paste the URL when you've got the error?
Question Author
Thanks CF, it's copied and pasted thus < http://www.network54.com/Forum/439743/ >.
Friends can get onto it from their computers, so it's got to be from this end, surely.

Yes methyl, I can see the problems occurring.
I have now emailed talktalk (after ploughing through their interminable hoops) and will see what they have to say. I'll get back to you all if I have any joy. Thanks everyone.
Question Author
Just succeeded in a workaround for this while I waiting for TalkTalk to respond.
Have now got into the site using anonymouse.org as a proxy server.
Once I get used to keeping the adverts to a minimum, I have full functionality to surf the site and contact the members as needed.
However, I'd still like to get to the bottom of the original problem. I'll keep you posted.

Problem solved!
After several emails back and forth with the site's owner, he kindly took down all his blocking. Lo and behold we were able to get back onto the site as before. As simple as that!
Somehow our network address got caught up in his site blocking and he did not realise how it might affect us. Thanks again to all who responded.
