Embed a code

HI how do I embed a code from the internet to my website.
I would like to have one of those little "chip" looking things on my website to enable people to look at from their smart phones - the link would ask people to subscribe to my news letters or e-mails
Please help

Thank you chuckFickens - I was trying to embed it in a widget - then your answer infuriated me - then I took another look at my site and chose upload picture ( cos as you said - it's just a picture ) and bingo there it is !!! Yeah!! did'nt think it was JUST a picture I thought it was hidden code ( Bless you !! )

OK Now I have the image on my web site - I have been told to save it on my computer as a png file ( ????? ) - does this require me to download something to support the format - I have tried saving as adobe and as jpg but cant find png and when windows tries to open it it says file not supported HELP!! Please
