Cant access to bid on a site

I am trying to buy an iyem on the ebay. I have a username & the password as I recently registered with the site.The trouble is that when I try to bid and go and give my user name and password and click the button the next message I get is ' If you are seeing this page your browser settings prevents you from automatically rediecting to a new url '  I don't no how to reset the browser so I can bid.

Any help will be most appreciated.

I had this trouble when running IE5 on win2k.  The solution is to hit the back button on your browser when you see the error message.  You will return to the previous page, but you will be signed in (test this by clicking "my ebay". If it asks you to sign in again, it hasn't worked).  I traced this problem to a corrupt version of Java VM i was running.  No problems since upgrading to XP though.
