FF13 new tab
1 Answers
Hi all
I recently reinstalled FF13 from scratch. All works OK but I am bugged by the fact that when I open a new tab the screen shows small versions of recently visited pages. I would prefer it to be blank.
I found a fix for this before but can't find it again. I remember that you have to change a setting somewhere to 'about:blank'.
Can anyone help?
thanks
Howie

Type 'browser.newtab.url' and amend value to 'about:blank'.
If the value is changed to 'about:http://www.google.co.uk' a new tab will open with Google, but with the cursor in the address bar, not the search box.
If the value is deleted, then the Firefox add-on 'NewTabURL 2.2.3' can be set to go to Google with the cursor already in the search box. Or of course any other URL can be used.
