Youtube and Facebook

I've shared tracks from youtube on facebook cause it lets you do so. Am I breaking any copyright laws. If I am why do they allow you to share?

No, you're not breaking copyright rules because copyright issues are dealt with on Youtube. It's perfectly ok to share YT clips on FB because it's one of FB's functions so share away !

If YouTube is hosting content which infringes copyright it may not yet have been flagged for removal. This in no way absolves Facebook from addressing copyright issues when such shared content appears on their site.
