Mac mini - Make DVD Region Free
1 Answers
I have a Brand new Mac mini, with combo drive. In the days of Windows (Before civilisation) I used a program called RegionFreeDVD to make my Computer think it was running a Region 2 DVD, when in fact most were Region 1. I would like something similar for the Mac. I have searched websites for nearly 18 months now, trying to find a way to make my Mac region free, other than updating/changing the Firmware on the DVD unit - as this is irreversible, I am told. Please help! Also, would buying an external drive help? Very confused and don't know which way to turn!

I'm told that if you run VideoLan:
http://www.videolan.org/
And don't use the DVD Player to watch, any DVD should work fine. I haven't tried this myself.
Good luck!
