why has my Hp Photosmart B110 series printer stop working

Hi there
I have never had a problem with this printer,the low ink flashed up so i changed the ink to the new ones i brought,i done everyhing i should closed the lid and turnt the printer on and all that came up on the screen is "Ink system failure 0xc 19a 0023,i hve tried to sort this out myself and looked online for information but nothing has helped,this printer is just after a year old,if anyone can help me i would be so very greatful for any kind of help,thank you in advance :)

I have used the hp ink cartridge brought it from a shop as i dont trust the net for that kind of thing,i have had alook at the links the other kind ppl have given and i will be trying out what it says,i have noticed that some ink has come out near where the cartridges are,not sure if this is meant to happen or not? its just frustrating but thank you for all the help

something you might try is this:-
Remove print cartridges, gently wipe the brass electrical contacts on the cartridges with a tissue moistened with methylated spirits, then replace cartridges.
Sometimes grease from the fingers when handling can block the contacts and the printer cannot recognize them any more until cleaned.
This sometimes happens to my HP printer as I refill my own cartridges and have done for the last 12 years.
