p.s. The message came from 'webpage'
I keep reading questions on AB which concern problems that involve Internet Explorerer.

My advice is get a better Browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox.

Ron.
Yes indeed. Download and install Google Chrome, import all your favourites from IE, and never use IE again.
I agree, I love Chrome EXCEPT I have lost count of the number of times I've shut it down accidentally by closing a tab with the cross in the top right corner (as you would in IE).
p.s. you can have any number of browsers on your computer all at the same time so you don't need to uninstall one to start using another.
Most computers appear to come with only Internet Explorer as a Browser, although there are some such as 'Lenovo' which also have Google Chrome installed.

I take the view that there is a usefulness for IE and that is to allow one to download a better Browser.

Do as Mark has suggested and bear in mind what bibblebub has said, because I have in my comp IE, Google & Firefox.

and make one your default browser - preferable Chrome.

To be fair, the error message you get in your IE could be a due to a number of things and is not necessarily the browser's fault. On a webpage is could be that the page can not find an image in the script, due the webmaster's inattention.
