I am away from home and using a hotel's wi-fi. I never have a problem sending emails from home, but quite often when I try to use a hotel's wi-fi for email, I get the following message:
An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'pop.karoo.co.uk', Server: 'smtp.karoo.co.uk', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '554 smtpout.karoo.kcom.com', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 554, Error Number: 0x800CCC6F.
Does that ^^^make sense to anyone please? Thanks for any replies, peeps.
Yes. The SMTP 25 show because This blocking is done to prevent users from sending out Spam using the anonymity of the Internet access provided by the remote ISP, and the ISP wants to control unwanted activity from their ISP.
