Mouse Wheel Alternative For Laptop? (The Sims 3)

I need to scroll down a drop-down menu to select a community lot type that's at the bottom.

I have no mouse wheel as I'm on a laptop and there is no bar to click and drag.

Is there an alternative to scroll down? Please!

Yes I have and no luck.

Perhaps you need to look at the options to see if the vertical scroll bar is turned off. Failing that try to highlight lots of text, as you pull below the bottom of the window it sometimes scrolls down. Never know your luck.
