Tethering iPad to phone

Does anyone know a free app that is proven to work in the uk to tether my iPad to my blackberry please?

Every solution that I've seen involves jailbreaking the iPad.
Apple just don't like their users to buy stuff from other manufacturers.

Which blackberry have you got? Mine has 'mobile hotspot' which means any device can connect to it via wifi.

It's a blackberry bold. I've googled about turning it into a hotspot and its supposedly possible.

I don't have a bold.
Under 'manage connections' you will see Mobile Network; WiFi; Bluetooth and Mobile Hotspot if it is there.

Which menu did you find 'menu hotspot' please? I've turned wifi on and looked round but can't see it.

In the 'manage connections' menu. I access it on my torch by clicking the very top of the homescreen where the 3G and wifi symbols are.
