My Norton Security 2012 runs out today. I've purchased 2013 in readiness. Do I need to remove 2012 versions first, or will it be automatically removed when I install 2013?

Norton Utilities came with my 2012 Security but not with the 2013 Security. Can Utilities remain, or will that run out today too? Thanks

Actually, the installation of the new version is seamless... the new version is installed when it's electronically shipped from Norton. I've had Norton for several years here in the U.S. and originally, one had to install the new version but I haven't had to do that for at least three years now.

As to utilities... it depends on what you purchased. If you simply paid the renewal fee for the package you had last year, it will be included, if not, I suspect it won't be. I've not seen any Norton product without the "Utilities" always included...

Hi Clanad,

Do you mean you "renew" online? Here in the Uk that is much more expensive than buying a CD version
Actually renewing online here is quite reasonable. I'm not sure one could actually get a CD for installing one, since the initial purchase resulted in downloading the program(s) ... there was no CD...
