Wireless Mouse, Right Click Not Working
It's driving me nuts! It's an HP wireless laser mini mouse, been happily using it for over 4 years but recently the right click is failing to function. I've reinstalled the disc and rediscovered that my Vista is 32 bit (useless instructions!), but to no avail. Is there a solution or does it need replacement, I wonder?

If movement & left click is ok I'd suspect the transmitter/receiver is ok (you could adjust location but I'd not hold out a lot of hope that'd fix it.) I trust you tried a new battery ?
Failing that maybe you just need a new one. I'd have hoped it'd last more than 4 years but .... well maybe not.

My wireless Microsoft mouse (and keyboard) is so old that all the silver colouring on the side of the mouse has worn off. At least 8 years and two batteries later and still no problem.
Dust is still the No.1 enemy of wireless mouse(s?). In damp conditions (also from sweaty hands) it cakes to a solid film. Open the bottom, usually by screws under the batteries, and give all parts a good wipe with a cottonbud with isopropyl alcohol. It is not going now anyway so nothing lost.
