Iphone Auto Text Forward???

Ok so this is weird. I have an iPhone 4 (pay as you go) and every text I receive is automatically being forwarded to my husbands iPhone 5 (contract phone) this does not happen with calls - only texts??? And I have not changed my settings and also settings just in case I accidentally changed something but can't see what. It did not always do this - only today. We are both finding this a mystery!!!! Any ideas???

Get him to delete your contact details of his phone and delete his off yours. See if it still happens. Does he do your backups for you on the same iTunes or iCloud identity?

Thanks woof. We shall try but ... It's still a mystery!no he doesn't back my phone up on his I tunes and also ... This weird prob only began today?!!

Are the messages green or blue, if they're blue then they're iMessage and you can set which phone numbers or email addresses a phone receives them on in settings

sorry but, could he secretly have set this to happen on your phone - to spy on you... not realising you would know it was happening... and now he is playing dumb?

is there any reason he would suspect you?

are they all white? my messages show as green and the replies show as white.

Did you get your iphone from Apple? you might like to make an appointment at the genius bar in your local shop to get it sorted.

Was it him who told you he is getting your texts or was it you who noticed it?

No smow honest I don't think he set me up but it's a question some would find pertinent. He's the one who keeps telling me to ring o2to query as its driving him nuts. I haven't called O2 yet as couldn't hang on for ages at their call centre . Now something else weirrrrrd has happened. Someone has texted my hub and this text has come thru duplicated on my OTHER 02 iPhone. So weirdly all 3phones seem to he connected. I have 2 phones (1 contract 1 pay as you go)my hub has 1 (contract) all these texts are in WHITE and it does not affect calls - just texts. I'm gonna call 02 tomo but it is so strange.

Ooops it was joko who suggested my hub may have set the phones up to forward the texts .... Not smow :) joko no I don't think this I'd the case and also we have both checked our settings etc and all appears to be in order.

It sounds like maybe you're both signed into the same Apple ID for iMessages?

Settings -> Messages -> Send & Receive You can check the iMessage phone number your husband's phone has set. And if you click "Use your Apple ID for iMessage" you can see what ID it's using.
