Earphone Connection - Update

I submitted a question recently
http:// www.the answerb ank.co. uk/Tech nology/ Questio n120202 7.html
I received one or two interesting replies, but wasn't able to resolve my problem from them.
I have now sorted this out and I wonder if others, who are experiencing the same problem (there must be many others) might find it useful to know how I did it.
I contacted Samsung direct and they provided me with a useful suggestion, which has worked.
My original set-up was a pair of wireless headphones, the sender unit of which was connected to my previous TV with a 3.5mm jack plug.
As mentioned in my previous posting, this was now no good as it cut off the sound to the speakers of the new TV so my family could not listen.
I purchased from Amazon three items;-
1) A digital to analogue audio converter.
2) A short length of cable with RCA connections at both ends.
3) A short cable with toslink connections at both ends.
These cost me less than £20 but works perfectly so peace is restored in my household.
