I bought my copy of Microsoft Home and Office in North America -despite trying to change the default language to 'Engish GB' the spellchecker insists on underlining correctly spelled words in English (such a finalise -it wants to put a 'Z' in it) -have I missed something? -can i change the spellchecker to English GB? Thanks!

Thanks for your reply Lie-in-King. I've done that already -its got English (United Kingdom) under 'enabled editing languages' but still insists on showing incorrect spellings of anything with an 'ise' (ize) . I thought I may have missed ticking a box somewhere -but hey ho --guess I will just have to go the long way around and every time it underlines a correct spelling I'll add it to the dictionary. Thank you again for the reply though -much appreciated
You should also check the 'Proofing Language' option and make sure that it is set to 'English (UK)' as the default.
Info on how to set the default 'Proofing Language' in each of the Microsoft Office applications can be found here:

hi pinkyboyid -thanks for the link -very useful- but when I followed the instructions is still showed up that English (UK) was the default proofing language! Maybe I may try changing the default to English (US) then changing it back to English (UK). LOL! all this bother but its driving me nuts every time I type something in English it tries to AmericaniZe the word.
