A quick check in the Panasonic manual indicates:
≥MPEG2 moving pictures shot with a Panasonic SD Video camera, etc. can be copied to the HDD or DVD-RAM.
≥MPEG2 moving pictures cannot be played directly from the SD card.
The manual does not appear to mention AVCHD formats so I guess even if you copied the video files to the Panasonic HDD it probably would not get recognised.
So that leaves you with the necessity to convert the AVCHD video to DVD format which the Panasonic will recognise!
This will require copying the movie file to a Windows Computer, for example, and then run a conversion program to create the DVD. One such program that seems to be a 'favourite' according to others is a package called AVStoDVD which is freely available from:

Also for consideration, when you purchased the Camcorder did it come with a CD containing software? If so, it may include a software package called 'Moviefactory SE' which will also convert and create DVDs on the computer.
