Sorry - I know now it's not just me- have just seen 'is it safe on Chrome yet'. I'll follow that lead for answers.
You'll see the warnings with Firefox, Chrome or Safari but not with IE, as I've just explained here:

There are lots of threads on this topic. The threat (if any really exists) seems to be coming from a feed taken by AB from the site bit.ly (which, I believe is only in the ads). If you're using an ad blocker the problem shouldn't arise.
chris i removed norton a while back( i think on your and others recommendation) what can i do? every time i navigate around this site i get a warning from google.
buenchico -not true -i have add blockers and am getting the warning when trying to access AB through my bookmark and by dong a Google search
Ronnie:
The warning is because your browser asks Google to check the security of all pages that you try to access. Google has detected that AB takes content from bit.ly (which, knowingly or otherwise, hosts some malicious content). Since AB's techies have spent the past few days trying to sort out such problems, that information may well be out of date anyway.

Don't worry about it (but avoid clicking on any ads here, which is where any dodgy stuff might be hiding); AB will get the site 'white listed' again soon.
Same as Magsmay - I also have Chrome with Ad Block...still getting 'malware' alert.
Magsmay:
Google has detected that AB has some potentially dodgy content in the feeds it takes for the ads, so it shows a warning. However Google has no way of knowing that you don't even see the ads so you (like me) will still see the warning anyway, even though the the dodgy script is already blocked from accessing your computer.

Crossed posts - see above!
