Epson Stylus Color 1520 Printer

Anyone familiar with this machine please? Since I have had it I have only used the front loading system, but it has also a top load and rear load facility. I'm trying to print on 190 gm card and it baulks at grabbing it from the front. would it be acceptable to insert the card from the back so that it doesn't need to bend it so much, only info I can find refers to this as being for continuous paper printing. Thanks.
