Help...can't Get Rid Of A Programme.
3 Answers
I've tried system restore, and control alt delete to unfreeze the screen now I have it minimised on the bottom toolbar.
I added a yahoo or bt toolbar, and accidentally activated the 'play free online games' now I can't get rid of it. Done a quick Malwarebytes scan but no virus detected. I've got rid of the top toolbar, but the bottom toolbar has changed it is wider and the icons are all lined up instead of being across the bottom of the screen. Why is it always late when I do stupid stuff.

If you're referring to the taskbar at the bottom of your screen, right-click on it to see if there's a tick alongside 'Lock the Taskbar'. If there is, click to remove the tick. (Otherwise do nothing except left-click to get rid of the options).
Then place your mouse on the upper edge of the taskbar, so that a double-headed arrow appears. Left click and hold the mouse button down while dragging the top of the taskbar to where it should be. Then right-click on the taskbar and select the option to lock it.

Thanks for your advice Chris, the problem was sorted when I signed back in again this morning. And I've righted the taskbar it's now Ok too.
Methyl thanks for your response, I have IE7 at the moment very slow, I did upgrade to IE9 but it seemed to send my HP Vista laptop into a buzzing frenzy. So I cancelled it and IE automatically reverted to IE7. Will try IE8 if there is no possibility of me making a cock-up of it.
Sorry to be such an idiot. I'm having all sorts of probs trying to get BT email and spent all evening wasting my time on it, no further forward. They are the pits.
Thanks again I'll be checking into AB tonight sometime.
