Loading Songs On To Ipod....

How do I set up a new playlist on my ipod?

I've got the songs on my desktop, and I know I have to drag and drop them over into i Tunes, but what do I select to be able to do this, as when I'm trying to do it, I just get a little red circle with a line through it and they don't go over.

Which do I have to select, is it New Playlist, New Playlist Folder or something else???

Sorry if this sounds rude, but I'm in a bit of a rush, so a quick answer would be much appreciated :-)

I've got itunes up in front of me, and the songs ready to go, but they just won't drag and drop into the playlist. I'm obviously doing something wrong, but I don't know what.

I know about the syncing part, but I can't even get them over onto the itunes page to begin with.

The link is helpful actually, as it tells me what I need to do once I've got them in the itunes library.

It's just getting them there first....

You need to import your songs in to iTunes before creating a new Playlist.

iTunes: off the top menu: File > Add to library.

Once music files imported into iTunes from your desktop:

Off the top menu: File > New Playlist. Then drag music from your Library in to the Playlist you just created.
