The flat screen of our computer (not a laptop) has gone funny looking - almost green and fractured -almost like the visual disturbances that I get at the beginning of a migraine - any ideas as regards curing it please as it is impossible to look at for more than a few minutes at a time.

Check the connectors. It may be that one of the ends has worked loose.
If not, would you be able to try it on another monitor?

Re-check all the connections from pc to monitor, reboot your pc. Worst case scenario is that your graphics card is starting to fail.

The OS is Windows XP and its a Packard Bell.

Having never had a migraine, I find that a difficult comparison to make. Maybe a bulb has gone in the monitor?
